Super Junior wins the grand prize at the 2011 MAMA

A press conference was held to celebrate Super Junior for winning the grand prize at the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). In the event, Leeteuk, the leader of Super Junior, said, “We’ve tasted the sweets and bitters during our journey as singers. The events sometimes hurt us, but made us stronger and firmer. The tears we dropped today were not for sorrow or sadness, but for happiness and joy.”

Sungmin, one of the members of Super Junior, also expressed his deep gratitude toward the other members by saying, “Today we cried for thanks for each one of us. We have gone through a lot of tough things, but we have held and banded together to keep on going forward.”

Siwon added, “It’s very grateful that Super Junior won this prize this year. We believe that Super Junior’s fans deserve the best of the best. In this sense, we’ll do our best to provide the best music and performance for them.”
