On November 29 at 11:00 a.m (Korea Time), 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (also known as MAMA) was held in Sands Expo Convention Center with 120 broadcasting media from 40 different countries.
The appearance of AP Communications, and NHK showed how popular MAMA and K-pop has become.
Super Junior, SNSD, 2NE1, Miss A, YB, Dynamic Duo, Simon D, Japanese top singer Koda Kumi, Chinese star Wei Chen appeared at the press report conference and had a question and answer session. Foreign press fiercely competed to ask questions, proving K-pop’s elevated status.
The Awards Ceremony of 2011 MAMA will be held at Singapore Indoor Stadium starting from November 29 at 7:00 p.m.
Many top stars will appear at the event including DJ Koo, Hyun Ah of 4minute, Kim Hyun Joong, Miss A, Dynamic Duo, Brown Eyed Girls, B2ST, Simon D, Seo In Young, SNSD, Super Junior, YB, Heo Gak, 2NE1, Ooh La La Session, Two Months, Christina, and Koda Kumi.
